Description

The Polykraft Moisture Barrier is aluminium coil with polykraft moisture barrier. The properties of these aluminium alloys provide the necessary strength to resist in-service abuse, but can be easily fabricated as well as installed. The Polykraft Moisture Barrier is suitable for most general industrial applications as it will keep your insulation dry and functional.

POLYKRAFT multilayer composite film used as a moisture retarder on metal jacketing consisting of at least one layer of minimum 40 LB kraft paper and one or more layers of plastic film, usual polyethene at a minimum thickness of 1.5 mils.

Aluminium roll jacketing is available in a smooth finish or a stucco embossed pattern. Either finish can come with 5mm (3 / 16″) corrugations.

Thickness : 0.4 mm, 0.5 mm, 0.6 mm, 0.8 mm, 1.0 mm (other thicknesses available).
Widths: 914mm and 1220mm (914mm for corrugated rolls)
Length: 30 meters (other lengths available on request)

Application:

The preferred method for specifying metal jacketing requires the use of Polykraft Moisture Barrier to help prevent corrosion of the interior surface of the metal jacketing and the underlying insulated pipe, tank, or equipment.
Polykraft Moisture Barrier is preferred on all types of metal jacketing including aluminium, stainless steel, galvanized steel, aluzinc, and aluminized steel types I and II to help prevent this corrosion. Polykraft Moisture Barrier is preferred on the metal jacketing for all applications of mechanical insulation including that used in hot, cold, pipe, tanks, equipment, industrial, commercial, petrochemical, and oil/gas applications.
