Description
Deep Corrugated Sheets are available in Aluminium, Stainless Steel and Painted Aluminium. They provide protection for insulated equipment, towers, vessels and tanks with outside diameters of 8’ or more. There are options available concerning the depth of the corrugated sheets. They are available in 11/4” (30mm) and 21/2” (64mm) corrugations. The 11/4” corrugations have a depth of 1/4”, and the 21/2” corrugations have a depth of 1/2”. They are available in a smooth finish, painted, or stucco embossed pattern. They are especially designed for weather-proofing insulation on vertical tanks and vessels, in addition to offering mechanical abuse protection for the insulation.
Aluminium Deep Corrugated Sheets are supplied in alloys conforming to ASTM B-209 designation, and Stainless is supplied in Type 304 or Type 316 alloy. The back side of the sheets consists of a Polysurlyn Moisture Retarder. This retarder includes a 3 mil thickness of a co-extrusion of polyethylene and DuPont’s Surlyn® which is heat laminated to the metal jacketing. Due to its superior performance characteristics, it replaces the old standard 1 mil and 3 mil polykraft moisture retarders.
